The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Food and Drug Administration Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (FDA-CFSAN) provide awareness of food-borne illnesses, particularly those most prevalent in the Hispanic community. FDA-CFSAN interacts with health festival participants to deliver food safety information, including food handling methods that prevent cross contamination, and proper cooking, storage, and hand-washing techniques. |
